following the drinking gourd gives a destruction about the the underground railroads and how the slaves use it to go from the south to the north .the slaves would walk all day and night ,if they happen to get caught they will kill them or sell them to other people.today if the government finds someone crossing the border they would put them in jail and then send them back to where they originally came from.so today peopple are they wont kill them if cought .
